:: RP Centrelastic Girth
The Centrelastic girth enhances the ReactorPanel system.
The horse's belly sustains more pressure than any other area of the saddle/girth system. Our girths have a very broad center belly plate with elastic in the center for better pressure distribution where it is crucial. The wide plate also gives the saddle much more stability than a narrow band would - picture the wide cinches used on cutting horses and reiners, where saddle stability is crititcal.
Our Centrelastic girths have roller buckles, which reduces the amount of force required to tighten the girth. The roller buckles extend the life of the billet straps as well by diminishing fixed pressure, and therefore wear.
The horse's side of the girth is lined with the same extremely soft leather used for ballet shoes (or a slightly more durable leather for the endurance lengths, sizes 36" to 44"). The support structure of the girth prevents this buttery leather from cracking or sagging with proper maintenance.
Our dressage girths come with the option of a leather sleeve with Velcro closure to cover the billets (not pictured).
Girths come in even sizes from 22" to 56"* and are available in the same colors as the saddles, for a matching ensemble. Sizing is in inches; even numbers only, measured buckle end to buckle end:
Dressage-cut girths: 22" to 36"
Endurance-cut girths**: 34" to 42"
Hunter/Jumper-cut girths: 44" to 60"

**Our endurance-cut girths are designed to be used with our medium billets, which are our special length for distance riding. Medium billets permit buckling the girth at the bottom of the sweat flap. This girth arrangement keeps the buckle on the sweat flap, protecting the horse while removing bulk from beneath the rider's leg.
