V.S.D. stands for “Variable Style Dressage”. Like the other saddles in our VSD family, the Summit is designed primarily for flat work, including dressage, trail, endurance, and general pleasure riding.

One of our most popular saddles, the Summit is extremely comfortable for distance riding or long hours in the saddle and is also appropriate for lower-level dressage.

The Summit has a unique leg channel comprised of a softly cushioned knee pad with a matching calf pad sewn into the rear of the flap. These soft pads cover Velcro-on knee and calf blocks, which come with every Summit and attach under the flap. The look is distinctive and the saddle is incredibly comfortable and secure.

All RP Saddles are designed to reduce pressure on the horse's back, allow them uninhibited access to their full range of motion, and improve rider comfort and security.
