MOLLIE KRUMLAW-SMITH
Position: Fitting Agent, Ohio Home town: Mainville, OH Phone: (513) 315-5907 E-mail: mollie@reactorpanel.com My favorite uncle bought me my first horse at the tender age of two. He was beautiful! He was white, with a silvery flowing mane and tail, and big black spots. I called him "horsie" and he was my new best friend. We rode for hours every day and I brushed him and fed him each night. When I was four his springs finally broke and my parents tried to throw him away. Thankfully I managed to save him from the curb and continued to ride him around the neighborhood until his legs finally wore off. It was a very sad day when I finally had to put him down.
Flash forward 20 years to the mid 80´s. After going through just about every type of horse and horse sport available, I was introduced to Competitive Trail Riding (CTR) and was hooked. On my fourth ride I won over all Grand Champion but my horse lost 1/2 point on his back score. That turned out to be a very expensive 1/2 point as it was the beginning of a 20 year obsession with importance of saddle fit, function, and overall physiology of the horse. I started using paneled saddles in the early 90´s with some success, as I made the progression from CTR to endurance and then to 1-Day 100´s I found that I still didn´t have a perfect solution to my saddle fit problem. Finally in the winter of 2003 I came across the RP Web Site. After lurking around for a month I decided to try one of their saddles. All I can say is WOW. All of my saddle fit concerns and issues were addressed with the RP design. What a wonderful saddle! I´m very excited to be working with RP and their products. They are truly committed to producing quality products while most importantly putting the horse first! |
