SADDLE SPARE PARTS
CENTER FOAM Center Foam is used on many new saddles to increase the curve of the panels and to encourage faster break-in. Some horses require center foam for an optimal fit (see our User's Guide, which comes with every saddle, for specifics of these situations). Placing the foam is easy, and wedges are included with each new saddle. SHIMS Rear shims raise the cantle of the saddle by approximately 1/4 inch and come in colors to match the saddles. Shims are easily installed by disassembling the saddle and shimming between the gullet plate and the bottom of the cantle. Higher profile shims can be ordered if needed for horses with dropped backs or extremely high withers. Shims come with replacement screws and installation instructions. Front shims narrow the tree by approximately 1/2 inch. They are useful when a slightly wide tree is recommended for a young horse, or for a horse with atrophy that is expected to regenerate. Front shims are easily installed by disassembling the saddle and shimming between the gullet plate and the front edge of the tree. Shims come with replacement screws and installation instructions. REPLACEMENT PANELS
Each of these panel types is also available in Low Profile. The Low Profile design has a wither cut out to relieve pressure against the wither on horses with a bony and prominent wither. Almost all saddles are fit with standard panels. Please consult us about other lengths and your specific situation. D RINGS AND CRUPPER/SHAFT STAPLES All saddles come with two oval rings in the front, but these rings are not recommended for use by Endurance riders. Heavy duty D Rings or Shaft Staples are fitted easily to your saddle. Our Endurance Saddle ships with the Endurance Kit, which is made up of six D Rings and three Shaft Staples (see photo). Any saddle can be ordered with an Endurance Kit, or with a custom blend of D Rings and/or Shaft Staples. A kit of the hardware necessary to add D Rings or Shaft Staples can be ordered for installation by your local saddler. |
